(Torrance Business Monthly) The Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) has selected the City of Torrance as a finalist for its 2009 Most Business-Friendly City in L.A. Editor’s Note: Ken Brengle, a veteran chamber of commerce professional from Colorado who more recently headed the resort association at Big Bear Lake, was hired last summer to serve as CEO for the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce after an exhaustive search to replace Barbara Glennie, who headed the organization for 23 years. This email announcing his sudden departure was sent to chamber members yesterday. We will elaborate on this when more information becomes available.
